Our Humidity Domes are an optional component of the Paperpot system, fitting perfectly onto our Paperpot Germination Trays (sold separately) to create the optimum environment for seed germination.

Increase plant growth! Humidity Domes create the perfect might climate for seeds to germinate. Domes and heat mats can be combined to create the benefits of a germination chamber.

If you have plants growing slower due to cold temperatures, then you can use the humidity domes to increase temperature and humidity at the tray surface. This can be a useful strategy for farms with heated or unheated greenhouses.

Our domes are designed to last! We produce our domes using thick PET plastic to ensure that they can withstand high greenhouse temperatures and exposure to sunlight. The domes are resistant to cracking and should give you many years of use.

Need less light? Domes can be painted black to create blackout domes for microgreens.

Humidity domes for Microgreens

These are a great addition to my work, sometimes I need to take the trays out of the germination chamber, but they still need more height, so they need more darkness. Instead of painting them black, I put them over the greens, and cover them with blackout fabric, that way I can still use them to finish germination of seedlings when the first to pop need light, but the soil blocks still need to be kept moist.

I had been reluctant to buy humidity domes that fit the paper pot trays, because I'm cheap.. but I'm super glad I did.
I use a germination chamber to start all of our seeds, but some crops can take a long time to pop and you have to take them out to put them under lights when the first seeds emerge.
The humidity domes help a lot with crops like spinach or onions that can take one or two weeks between the first and final seed emergence. Using the domes can make the difference between perfect germination and disappointing germination.
The domes are not as sturdy as the paper pot trays themselves, but they seem like they should hold up great as long as you're not abusing them. More sturdy than the standard 1020 humidity domes.
Also, you probably know this if you're buying humidity domes and not a starter kit or something, but paper pot is really great to do business with. Super quick shipping. Great customer service.
