Shade Cloth

Many crops such as lettuce suffer under extreme heat resulting in early bolting and bitter flavor. Covering low tunnels with shade cloth can create a favorable microclimate for your cool-weather crops and a substantial drop in ambient temperature. It is an incredibly effective tool for boosting yields and keep crops healthy in the summer, especially for those stressed by excessive heat, humidity, and sunlight.

30% shade cloth is perfect for most field crops such as greens, pepper, tomatoes, cucumbers, and strawberries. The shade cloth blocks 30% of the light while allowing 70% to pass through for crop growth. Using shade cloth can reduce field by 5-10 degrees. 

Shade cloth can also soften hard rains and protect crops from bird, deer, and hail. 

Our durable shade net is woven with finished edges for extra strength. The knit won't fray or unravel when cut or torn. The finished edges prevent edge rolling and help to with tensioning the cloth. It is UV-treated and should last for more than ten years.
