Sumi Soaker Garden Hose Connector

Connects your Sumi Soaker tubing directly to a standard outdoor garden hose or spigot. Available in two versions — select the one that matches your tubing:

• R-Wide version — fits Sumi R-Wide tubing
• Mark II version — fits Sumi Mark II tubing

Includes a built-in shutoff valve for quick on/off control right at the tubing line — no walking back to the faucet. Ideal for small-scale setups with one or two beds, running from a garden hose bib.

What hose do I need?

Your hose diameter determines how much water reaches the tubing, which in turn determines how long a run you can water at full spray. Bigger hose = more flow = longer runs. (Assumes typical household pressure ~50 PSI; low pressure or a very long hose lowers these.)

Mark II — sips water, so almost any hose works:

R-Wide — wider coverage needs more water:

*A full 100 ft R-Wide run is demanding — keep the hose short (≤50 ft) with strong pressure, or step up to a mainline.

Best suited for single-run setups on beds up to 100 feet. For longer runs, multiple simultaneous runs, or a connection to an irrigation mainline, use the Sumi Soaker Mainline Connector instead — it includes a pressure regulator to maintain consistent spray across larger systems.

Uneven spray at the far end? Garden hose flow varies by diameter, length, and household water pressure. If coverage drops off toward the end of your run, try a shorter hose, a 3/4" hose, or a mainline connection.

Do you need a pressure regulator?
If your supply runs 15–30 PSI — common with gravity-fed tanks, long supply lines, or low-pressure wells — you're within R-Wide's operating range and can connect directly, no regulator needed. A regulator is only needed when supply exceeds 30 PSI (most municipal water is 40–60 PSI). Note: Mark II runs at lower pressure (3–12 PSI), so it needs a regulator on most supplies.

Note: Garden hose flow rates vary by hose diameter, length, and household water pressure. If you notice uneven spray coverage toward the far end of your tubing, try shortening your garden hose run, using a 3/4" diameter hose, or switching to a mainline connection.

Due to manufacturing variability, parts may not exactly match photos, but are fully compatible. Mark II and R-Wide components are not interchangeable with other tubing. Images for illustration only.
